MS-F204: A Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of Oral Fampridine-SR in Patients with MS

Type of Study and Brief Description:
A double-blind, placebo controlled, 13-week, parallel group study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of oral Fampridine-SR (10 mg twice a day) in patients with a definite diagnosis of any form of multiple sclerosis.

Background:
Thirteen clinical studies of Fampridine-SR have been conducted in patients with MS. This study is the second of two Phase 3 studies designed to investigate the safety and efficacy of 10 mg b.i.d. Fampridine-SR in the treatment of people with multiple sclerosis to improve disease related physical disability as measured by walking, leg strength, and related activities of daily living.
