Dr. Kelland is interested in the role the immune system has on the cells of the nervous system, specifically, the cells responsible for myelination. Using stem cells, Dr. Kelland is also able to study the repair process in MS and how the ability of these cells to repair may be influenced by neuroimmunomodulatory MS drug treatments.
